Description

Michaela Boehm is an internationally renowned teacher, speaker, and counselor whose work sits at the intersection of embodiment, relationships, and intimacy

Born and raised in Austria, Michaela combines her training in psychology and extensive clinical counseling experience with her in-depth training in the yogic arts as a classical Kashmiri Tantric Lineage holder, offering a rare and embodied approach to experiential learning.

With over 40,000 hours of in-person counseling, deep clinical experience in trauma and addiction, and a pioneering somatic approach, Michaela has worked with a wide range of clients, including celebrity couples, Oscar-winning actors, multiple Grammy-winning musicians, producers, and business pioneers.

Her work has been featured in international publications, television, and online media. Most notably, she co-hosted the Netflix series Sex, Love & goop alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and was featured in Will Smith’s bestselling memoir, Will.

Michaela is also the creator of The Non-Linear Movement Method, which isa somatic release modality that draws on principles of trauma therapy, polyvagal theory, and movement for nervous system regulation, and is the author of 'The Wild Woman’s Way'.

In our conversation with Michaela discover:

  • Some of the modern challenges Michaela sees people facing in intimate partnerships

  • The important elements we need to address if we want relationships that are both compatible and sexually vibrant.

  • The importance of clarifying the gifts we each bring into a partnership, aligning around shared values, understanding the deeper purpose of our romantic relationships

  • What often goes unspoken in conversations about cultivating vibrant sex lives, and why relying solely on frameworks like masculine and feminine dynamics can become limiting when we confine ourselves within them.

  • The essential role of embodiment, and the importance of learning to tune into the subtle messages of the body as a foundation for deeper connection, vitality, decision-making and fulfillment in relationships

This has really been an incredible conversation with one of the leading voices in the realms of relationships, intimacy, and embodiment.

I’d highly recommend this episode to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of relationships, and especially to those longing to light up a deeper spark and sense of aliveness within their partnerships.
